The Chief Executive Officer, Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, on Tuesday arrived in Nigeria to understudy rising startups in the country. Facebook’s billionaire founder will meet with tech developers and entrepreneurs while he is in Nigeria.
Zuckerberg , who made an unannounced visit to the country, the Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) in Yaba.
“I got to talk to kids at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who come to CcHub to build and launch their apps. I’m looking forward to meeting more people here,” he said on his Facebook page.
According to reports will attend Facebook’s developer workshop on Wednesday.
Facebook recently launched Free Basics in the country and is set to partner Cool Link to launch free Wifi in Lagos this week.
The Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative also invested $24 million in Andela, which aims to develop the next generation of software engineers in Africa.
